Continent is a vast land; (continental). In the beginning the earth was formed throughout the continent is a vast land, yet divided by a shift in the Earth's crust; the mainland is called Pangea, during the Mesozoic is divided into two major parts of Gondwana in the southern hemisphere and Laurasia in the northern hemisphere.
